Before You Bid

Before You Bid

Every lot has additional fees which can be up to 45%. Don’t worry, we know this sounds high but the hammer price of lots can be low as 5% of retail! These fees include our buyers premium and VAT. Always check the additional fees before placing your bid. You can locate this on any lot by opening the lot description and it will show fees for this lot.

Collection is always the next working day of when the auction closes. After auctions close you will receive an invoice for your won lots and it’s always a good idea to check the collection date. The collection date will always be available on your email.
Failure to collect within the requested time may result in storage charge or you can be block from future auctions. Our storage charges can be up to £10 per pallet per day.

WARNING!! All lots are sold “as they lie” with all faults, typographical, photographic and quantity errors, visible damage or mechanical failings regardless if this deems the item beyond repair. The absence of any reference to the condition of a lot does not imply that the lot is free from faults, imperfections and restorations. Shepherd’s Auctions will not be held responsible for any damage or defect that has not been notified to the buyer. Shepherd’s Auctions will endeavour to write accurate descriptions on all lots and the following terms may be used when describing lots

Viewing is on the same day as the auction ends. Unfortunately due to COVID-19 we have shortened our viewing days to 1 hour per day

Mon – Thurs : 3pm – 4pm
Friday: 2pm – 3pm

Viewing days are important, you are able to inspect any lot in the auction. This is important because all of our items vary in conditions. Viewing lots also gives you a chance to re-test items we have tested to be extra sure the item is in the correct condition as there is no guarantee on any lot description.

By signing up and bidding with us, you are agreeing to our Terms and Conditions. We highly recommend viewing our terms and conditions if you are new to our auction. We want the best experience for all our bidders!
